====== Windows 7 ======



I finally decided to upgrade my very old windows XP installation, to something more recent: Windows 7. 

But as every upgrade that introduced some new problems, like favorite software which isn't working anymore.

== Network File sharing ==
Have basically sucked since win2k, and windows 7 is no exception. To get it to work with at least my other windows xp machines i had to do the following, after enabling the Guest user account.

Installing the windows ressource kit generates some sort of incompatible warning, but it works, so dont worry.

== Rearm Windows 7 (extend trial periode) ==

== Activate Windows 7 (after you extended trial runs out) ==
As long as you put your computer to sleep and do not reboot it or turn it off you can run unactivated windows 7 forever. 

You cannot activate windows 7 if you havn't rebooted after doing an rearm.

Run cmd > slui.exe in order to bring up the activation window. Should also be accessible from System > Properties.
